3 Natural Treatments To Quickly Start Relieving Your Pain And Discomfort Today…
In today’s society, many of us suffer from the nagging aches and pains located in our muscles and joints. Whether our pains are from diseases like multiple sclerosis, arthritis or fibromyalgia, or we have pulled muscles whilst doing our daily jobs or acquired sprains from sports injuries, natural therapies such as hot or cold compress applications or massage will offer us pain relief which may get us back to what we love most - enjoying life itself!
Here’s how to start reducing the pain you feel right now in the next few hours.
Firstly, apply gentle massage:
You do not need to be a trained massage therapist to do this. Simply ‘knead’ the painful area with your thumbs for around 10 minutes. You will immediately start to stimulate the blood flow and encourage more oxygen and pain killing agents to the area.
Massage soothes muscle pain and encourages healing in damaged tissues, BUT the effects are only short term and ideally you should aim to massage the area gently for 10 minutes 4 times a day. If you are unable to massage with your hands (because you have pain and stiffness in your fingers) you can use a special Nukkles massager or an Omni ball massager instead.
Secondly, use hot and cold packs:
You can place a hot pack on your painful area for 5-10 minutes and follow it immediately with a cold pack for another 5-10 minutes. Heat not only warms the area, but the warmth dilates your blood vessels allowing more nutrient rich blood to flow. Heat also soothes and relaxes sore and aching muscles.
A cold wrap will continue to soothe a painful area and help to reduce swelling. You should always use heat and cold together as heat can agitate swelling and the cold will eliminate any agitation caused.
I never advocate using heat alone ALWAYS use heat followed directly by cold.

If you don’t have a special microwaveable/freezable hot/cold gel pack like the Magnopain gel pack for example, you can simply put hot, not boiling, water in a hot water bottle (with a cover) and place it on your area of pain. Then follow this by placing a bag of frozen peas (or any other frozen vegetable). Always wrap the frozen vegetable in a towel to prevent an ice burn.
3. Take high strength Vitamin C everyday.
If you don’t already take high strength vitamin C tablets each day you should start straight away. Vitamin C does a lot more than just help you to ward off coughs and colds. It is actually one of the main vitamins needed to maintain cartilage, ligament and disc strength.
Taking a maximum strength 1000 mg vitamin C tablet (available from most chemists) each day will help to rebuild your discs and strengthen the ligaments. Over a period of time your facet (vertebrae) joints will become stronger and more mobile.
These are 3 natural pain treatments you can try before spending your money on many of the alternative pain relief solutions that are available today. But if your pain is long term and chronic, then you will need more than what I’ve discussed here to truly get rid of your pain. In that case, I would highly recommend using magnetic therapy as a natural method of treating pain without any side effects.
