Magnetic Bracelets, What Strength To Use?

Magnetic therapy bracelets come in different shape, sizes and strength.
Many people get confused about whether the overall strength of a magnetic bracelet
is total number of healing magnets multiply by how strong each magnet is.

For example, if a magnetic bracelet contains 10 X 3000 gauss magnets, does that mean
the total magnetic strength of that bracelet is 30,000 gauss?

The answer is YES and NO!

The more important question here is does it matter?

Here’s how Kat, a magnetic therapist with years of experience addresses this confusion,
when she was asked the following question by Ram, who just could not decide which
magnetic bracelet will be best to treat his condition.

Dear magnetic therapist,
If I have a magnetic bracelet with 2,000 gauss in every link and it has 10 links;
Is that considered 20,000 gauss or 2,000 gauss for the whole bracelet.
Thank you
Ram

And the answer was

Hi Ram,

When you have a magnetic strength of 2,000 gauss per magnet in a bracelet,
and 10 magnets in the entire magnetic bracelet this means that you have a
penetrating strength of 2,000 gauss but at 10 different points.

So the amount of magnetic field that penetrates the skin at 2,000 gauss
will be the same but it will be all round the wrist at each point of the
magnet.

If you had a bracelet with only 2 magnets in and each one measured 2,000
gauss you would have the same penetrating depth as the bracelet with 10
magnets in, but you would only have it at 2 points on the skin instead of
10.

By having a magnetic bracelet with 10 magnets in you don’t make it 10
times as strong, there would simply be more magnets in contact with the
body.

Regards
Kat

Basically, the more magnets you have in a magnetic product, a wider magnetic
field will be created. And the stronger the individual magnets are, the deeper the magnetic
field will penetrate the body.

So, there you have it. When deciding to choose a magnetic bracelet or any other magnetic
product for that matter, go for the one with highest number of individual magnets and also
the highest strength per magnet.

And here are some magnetic bracelets that just fit the bill…
