Why should pregnant women avoid exposure to magnets? Is it safe for babies to wear magnets?

To be perfectly honest there is no solid research done on this subject to give you a definite answer.

We always err on the side of caution because we cannot guarantee the effects of magnets on babies and children.

It is thought by some that the presence of magnets on pregnant women or children under the age of 7 may interfere with the growth and development process and possible cause malformations within the body.

The reason for this is that healing magnets do help to promote new cell growth, during pregnancy the foetus/baby undergoes very rapid growth cycles and also in children under 7 these rapid stages of growth and development continue. With the addition of further cell stimulation from magnets it is unknown as to whether this will over stimulate the growth and cause problems.

On the other hand, I know people who have used magnets throughout their pregnancy and allowed their children to drink magnetised water and have had no problems at all.

BUT it is not advised and to be on the safe side I would urge you not to use magnets during pregnancy and if you wished to use magnets on your children to wait until they are 7.
