Dear Sanj Shimadry,

Thank you for my Neck and Shoulders Magnetic Therapy Pain Relief Package, which I received around 10th April 2008. I had ordered this package, because for the past year and a half I have suffered with severe neck and shoulders pain as well as lower back pain.

Generally the pain was at it’s worst first thing in the morning. I found it very difficult to sleep on either side and it wasn’t much better when lying on my back.

As a result I had great difficulty in getting to sleep and when I did sleep the quality was poor. I decided that the neck and shoulders warranted more immediate attention than the lower back pain, as I often woke up with a splitting headache due to the tightness in my neck.

For months I had tried a variety of therapists; however none of them succeeded in ridding me of the pain. The previous year I had purchased an expensive memory foam mattress and was very disappointed when it didn’t help my pain at all. For some time now, I have been taking Ibuprofen and Boot’s tension headache tablets to relieve the pain.

As a result of this, I have suffered from irritable bowel syndrome which meant that I had to take medication to help that as well. It just became a vicious circle and I never felt truly well or rested.

I am happy to say that after several weeks of using my magnetic pillow insert and wearing my beautiful magnetic necklace night and day, my neck pains slowly started to ease.

I also use the magnetic wand to magnetise water daily and feel that it is doing me good. I
have been doing some neck stretches and exercises and combined with the magnetic therapy.

I have found a great difference. Now after five weeks my neck and shoulders have
improved so much. I am delighted with the results and I am starting to do without the
daily medication. I am attending a private physiotherapist for a massage once a month
and she fully supports my use of the magnetic shoulders and neck package.

She has had other clients who have also been helped by using magnetic products. I initially found out about this treatment through a customer from Shetland, who came into the shop where I work.

When I admired her necklace, she told me that it was magnetic and that it had
helped her. As a result of my interest, she gave me your website and I checked it out
immediately.

Thanks very much for helping me. I will be delighted to pass on your details to anyone I
think may need help.

Sincerely
Liz Small

I would like you to stop and just ask yourself 5 short and simple questions that will ensure you get the best use out of your magnetic device. I guarantee you that your answers to these 5 questions will be a deciding factor in whether your magnets reduce your pain or not:

. Question 1.
Did you have a consultation with a therapist or seek trained advice before
choosing your magnets?

  Yes No N/A

. Question 2.
Have you chosen magnets which you place directly over your area of pain?

  Yes No N/A

. Question 3.
If your pain is severe (i.e. you have to use painkillers or another form of
pain relief on a daily basis) have you chosen the super strength version of
your magnets? (e.g. super strength back belt or super strength stainless
steel magnetic bracelet)

  Yes No N/A

. Question 4.
Are you aware that you need to use your magnets 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week until your pain has resolved? (except when using a mattress cover,
travel pad or bed pad)

  Yes No

. Question 5.
Do you think that a magnetic bracelet can help with pain all over the body,
regardless of where the pain is located? (e.g. back pain, painful feet)

   Yes No

==================================================

Here’s what your answers mean and how they can help to relieve your pain and
discomfort, plus ensure that it doesn’t return…

==================================================

Your magnets will only work to reduce your pain if you are wearing the right
type of magnets in the correct place. It is a common misconception that it
doesn’t really matter where you
wear or place your magnets, they will work on all your areas of pain.
If this was true it would certainly make my job a whole lot easier BUT
unfortunately it simply isn’t true. I can tell you with absolute certainty
if you aren’t using the accurate strength of magnets in the exact place they
need to be, you will feel very little effect and incredibly quickly become
disillusioned and believe that magnets are a sham and don’t really work.
Fair enough?

WARNING - Essentially important information about the magnets you are currently using…

Important information and advice that will ensure you get the best out of your
medical magnets.

If you are not using your magnets correctly you will not receive any benefits whatsoever,

Here’s why…

May be you have been using magnets, to help reduce your pain, for a couple of
weeks, at least. The truth is, you may still be suffering with some residual
persistent pain that has not yet been resolved by the magnets you are currently
using on your body.

If I have just described what is happening to you, then there are 2 possible
reasons why you have not benefited and they are:

1. You are not using the magnets in the correct area of your body i.e.
directly over your area of pain, or the strength of magnets is not
sufficient for your problems.

2. Your inflammatory system is potentially permanently switched on and
preventing you from totally resolving your pain and swelling.

Very quickly, let me explain why,

If you use magnets in only one area of the body, e.g. a magnetic bracelet on your
wrist, or a ring on your finger, any pain you have in other areas of the
body will remain totally unchanged. This is because magnetic therapy only work in the
local area around which they are placed.

My mum who lives in Cyprus has just been diagnosed with arthritis in her back and I have read your information about the magnetic bracelets and was surprised to see that they only worked on the arm and hands. So is there anything that could help her back? Sally Sutton

Hi Sally,

There is definitely magnetic products that will alleviate your mother’s back pain. Depending on how bad her pain is, she might need to use just one magnetic device or a combination of magnetic products for the best results.

Magnetic therapy works best when you place the magnetic device as close to the point of pain as possible. The further away from the point of pain, the weaker the magnetic field and hence the less benefit you will gain from it.

So a magnetic bracelet is ideal for treating the hand, wrist and lower arm but pointless for treating the back.

You need to use the magnetic treatment specifically for the back. This includes a magnetic back belt, sleep pad and water wand.

Have a look at the magnetic therapy back treatment package.

Regards

Can a magnetic bracelet cure asthma - is a question that we get asked quite often.

Due to the minefield of misleading information about magnetic bracelets; it is quite easy to fall in the trap of believing that wearing a magnetic bracelet can cure virtually any health problem.

As wonderful as they are, magnetic bracelets will NOT cure or relieve your asthma.

Here’s a list of what magnetic bracelets can help you with:

#1. Rheumatoid arthritis in the fingers, wrist and hand
#2. Osteoarthritis in the fingers, wrist and hand
#3. Fibromyalgia, were the pain is in the fingers, wrist and hand
#4. Polymyalgia Rheumatica, were the pain is in the fingers, wrist and hand
#5. Osteoporosis, were the pain is in the fingers, wrist and hand
#6. Repetitive strain injury in the fingers, wrist and hand
#7. Carpal tunnel syndrome
#8. Tendonitis of the wrist
#9. High blood pressure
#10. Stress
#11. Tennis elbow, super strength bracelets only
#12. Raynaud’s disease, in the fingers, wrist and hand
#13. Gout in the fingers, wrist and hand
#14. Poor circulation in the fingers, wrist and hand
#15. Diabetes, were peripheral neuropathy is in the fingers, wrist and hand

As for helping your asthma, here’s what kat got asked last week…

—————————————-

Hi,
My mum is asthmatic and she bought a magnetic bracelet; I am really concerned and want to know whether it will heal her completely, because she is my life and I can’t live without her. Please give me hope
Lucyline

—————————————

Hi Lucy

If your mum had the magnetic bracelet specifically for asthma, then I don’t think she will get many benefits.

Drinking magnetised water is the best form of magnetic therapy to help with asthma but even then it is not a cure, it will help to control the symptoms and improve her condition, but she will always have asthma,
magnetic therapy can not cure any condition it can simply ease the symptoms.

If her asthma is very bad then it will need to be controlled with medication, but you can use the magnetised water wand to drink magnetised liquids which will also help her.

Best Wishes
Kat

There are no scientific research to prove that drinking magnetic water will reduce the breathlessness or the frequency of having an asthma attack.

But we have had several user testimonial who swears that drinking magnetic water has improved the symptoms associated with the condition.

During the last 7 years whilst advising fibromyalgia sufferers on how to relieve their pain and improve their sleep with magnets, I have also developed a range of magnetic treatments to relieve fibromyalgia pain.

Using these fibromyalgia magnetic pain treatments will virtually guarantee that your pain is relieved within 6 months of use.

The rule-of-thumb is very simple; you place a clinical magnetic therapy belt, or strap, or bracelet, or necklace, over your main area of pain. The treatment works directly over the area of main. For example clinical magnetic therapy placed on your knee is not going to help pain in your back… hip… shoulder…

Here’s what you will need depending on your area of pain:

Firstly, a magnetic device at the point of pain

Back and hip, sciatica pain—
A 12 x 2,600 gauss magnetic back and hip belt.

Neck, shoulder, head, face pain —
A stainless steel 20-29 x 3,000 gauss magnetic necklace.

Knee, thigh and groin pain —
A 6 x 2,600 gauss magnetic knee and thigh strap

Foot, ankle and lower leg pain —
A pair of 100 x 800 gauss magnetic shoe insoles

Wrist, Hand, Arm, Finger and elbow pain —
A stainless steel 9-18 x 3,000 gauss magnetic bracelet

Secondly, A magnetic water wand

Magnetised (or ionised) water is the pure water that the earth produces through natural springs. In fact, this was the magical ingredient in roman spars. Warm magnetised water flowing from the centre of the earth was drank and bathed in by the Romans. This was the secret that the Romans used for healthy bones, clear skin and overall long life. Today, a breakthrough in the process of magnetised water to emulate the natural magnetised water the earth produces has been designed.

It is called the magnetic water wand, you simply place the wand in tap water and it magnetises (ionises) the tap water with the same magnetisation that spring water has, simply returning your tap water back to the way mother nature intended you to drink it.

The water must be drank in-conjunction with placing clinical magnets over the area of pain. This is to ensure that the magnetic field that is circulating around the body has the same effect on the inside as the magnetic field you have on the outside of the body.

Just 4 glasses a day is enough to see quite dramatic differences in a person’s pain levels, but it can’t be used alone, it must be used in-conjunction with magnets directly over the area of pain. It can’t harm you, doesn’t interfere with any medications or treatments and it doesn’t alter your body in anyway— it’s simply natural water made as spring water again.
We discovered that this double approach increases the strength of the magnetic field at the point of pain and significantly helps to reduce pain quickly, plus it also speeds up the healing process by increasing the absorption rate of the magnetic field by up to an amazing 6-10 times.

It increases circulation, reduces blood pressure, eliminates excess fluid and clears toxins in your body. You also benefit from increased energy levels, a sense of well being and pain relief. Just drinking 4 or more glasses a day will provide you with all of these benefits. Remarkable? Yes it is.

Thirdly, A 15 - 20 x 2,400 gauss magnetic sleeping pad

Your body heals by the greatest degrees at night whilst you sleep. That is when most of the healing work is done. We discovered in addition to the therapy being received at the area of pain and the water wand, sleeping on a 20 x 2,400 gauss magnetic sleeping pad dramatically boosts your body’s natural healing process; which reduces the time it takes for your pain to be resolved.

That’s it! Those three items used together are what changed the life of many fibromyalgia sufferers by relieving their crippling pain and immobility into a total lack of pain and total restored mobility. This is what I want you to experience.

Pain is an everyday experience for thousands of people throughout the world. Nearly two thirds of the adults in the U.K have experienced back pain at some point in their lives. Whilst many others suffer pain due to arthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatism, sports injuries or work related repetitive strain injuries.

Long term chronic pain has devastating consequences and can lead to conditions such as depression and stress. Whilst performing even the simplest day to day task of getting out of bed, going up the stairs or even getting dressed can be extremely challenging, and for some, impossible.

Taking painkilling drugs, the number one treatment for pain is what many of us do to get relief. But we have to bear in mind of all the side effects that our body suffer as a consequence of taking drugs; from nausea and vomiting to severe gastric bleed.

But you don’t have to put yourself through those conditions. There is a completely natural way of relieving pain without any harmful side effects. And best of all, with t a little bit of guidance you can apply this therapy all by yourself.

Although no two people have the same pain threshold, and different pain treatments suit different individuals, magnetic therapy healing has been very effective in relieving pain the natural way for a significant amount of sufferers. Scientists who have studied the effects of magnetic therapy have estimated that its effectiveness in relieving pain is as high as 85%; that is considerably higher than many over the counter painkilling drugs. Plus this pain relief comes at no risk to your health as there are no known side effects to using therapeutic magnets.

So what is static magnetic therapy then? It is simply the application of sufficiently strong therapeutic magnets onto your skin at the point of pain. The magnets have to be at least 800 Gauss to have any healing or pain relieving effects. The magnetic field created penetrates through your muscles and tissues to the stimulate blood flow and reducing inflammation at the painful area. As inflammation gets less and less and healing is promoted due to the increased blood flow, pain relief is achieved.

There is a wide range of magnetic therapy products available to treat pain on virtually any part of the body. You have magnetic bracelets for wrist, hand and arm pain relief; magnetic straps and belts that you can apply on different part of the body such as your legs, back, elbows, thighs; magnetic mattress pads and pillow pads that you can use at night time to sleep on and relieve pain.

You also have magnetic products for animals such as magnetic dog collars and pet bed pads and even magnetic rugs and boots for your horse! Magnetic therapy is just as effective on animals as they are on humans and just as safe too.

So if you are looking for natural pain relief without drugs or surgery, it is well worth trying some magnetic therapy pain relief products. After all you have nothing to lose but your pain!

Hi,
I was wondering if you can help. I have a 7 year old boxer who has within the last couple of months become lame. I have taken him to the vets and and they have x rayed and found he has a cruciate ligment problem which has led to arthritis. They have given him several catrophen injections and he is now on glycoflex 3. I also give him cod liver oil which also helps. He isn’t bad but always seems to be lame.

I heard from a friend the other day about magnets that can be used. I have searched on the internet and they all range in price. To be honest, the money side is not an issue but i wanted to know if there were stronger ones, weaker ones and whether a north or south pole would work better. You also metioned about strength, do stronger ones work better. It is very difficult to ask retail cause they will obviously always try and sell their product.

I look forward to your reply. Paul Cullen (and bentley)

Hi Paul (and Bentley)

I think using magnets on Bentley will be a great idea. They are usually very effective at treating this type of condition.

I can understand your questions and yes the stronger the magnets the better really. Higher strength magnets can help to ease higher amounts of pain. The worse the animal or human’s condition the higher strength
magnets you will need to use to treat if effectively.

For something like arthritis which is a progressive condition you will typically need to use magnets of a surface strength around 2,000 to 3,000 gauss.

Also I would recommend that you allow your dog to drink magnetised water, either using a water wand and decanting into the dogs bowl or by using a magnetic water bowl. This will increase the amount of magnetism that the dog can absorb and give a much quicker response. The collars and the magnetised water work extremely well together to give the most effective treatment.

Ideally you would need to use north facing magnets as this is the polarity that will promote healing and stimulate pain relief.

I hope this helps but if you need any further advice please get back to me.

Regards
Kat

Hi there,
Obviously I have been looking at your Magnet Therapy as I am at my wits end on what else I can do to try and have a painfree life.

I have lived with chronic pain for 12 years although no known reason!! I have been told I have Fibromyalgia but my pain came completely out of the blue one day like a bolt of lightening for no reason, It was not pain that gradually started!! It Is spreading and Is now getting worse especially over the past year. I have been to every known therapist chiropracator, Acupuncture, both western and Chinese, Oesteopath, e.t.c. to no avail.

Each day I take 240mgs Dihyrocodeine, 400mgs Paracetemol, I was also taking Gabapentin for nerve pain which did give some help along with the previous mentioned medication for 2 or 3 years but It gave me other pain and eventually I think my body just got used to It and I stopped working. I was then put on to Pregabalin for nerve pain and again seemed to help for a while but again same thing happened as with the Gabapentin so not taking that either.

I am seeing a Physiotherapist at the Hospital who cannot believe just how sore and like rocks and stones that my muscles are, and he is doing his best. He says that this Is all coming from my neck- my neck Is very painfull and pain radiates up through my teeth, jaw face head, also my shoulder and arm. I also now have restricted movement in my arm due to my shoulder from pain, Dotors say Rotary Cuff Injury, Physio says not and that It Is coming from my neck.

Who do I believe!! Pain has also started occuring on my left side which a year ago was not affected again my neck and shoulder. pain radiating to teeth has just made me go and have 2 back teeth removed even though they were not bad to see if this was one of the problems-no difference-only 2 less teeth which I find quite distressing. I have also had Cortisone injections in my head, neck, shoulders, to no avail, paid pounds to see Specialists-one who almost insinuated that I was Imagining the pain-that was so upsetting as well as Insulting.

The problem being Is because they cannot see It they do not understand. I have so many very painful trigger points which Is why I was diagnosed by one Dotor with Fibromyalgia therefore I suppose this may be the cause of the problem but seems strange that this pain first started with a sudden Chronic pain to the head (and that was It) I thought It would just go away on Its own as you do, but had never felt anything so severe In my life-unfortunately It then manifested itself and I have never been painfree since.

There are a lot of times that I feel I cannot go on anymore, but I have to try, and not to give up hope that one day I may be painfree again and to live a life again. I have had quite a few Operations through life, but prior to this happening to me I was never one to suffer even a headache or take pills, exept for a life threatening condition that I have which Is under control with life long medication. I am sceptical as I have tried Tens machine, and other things and they have not worked, but as you are aware that when you are In so much Chronic pain you will try anything. My Husband does not believe In Magnetic therapy and I am worried that It may not work, but If It did help me I would be so elated.

I would be most gratefull If you could help me please, please. Kind regards, Best wishes, Jane.

How to choose your magnetic bracelet or magnetic necklace?

Here’s a quick guide of what to look out for when buying magnetic products.

1. A high strength magnet - the medical magnet in the magnetic product needs to measure at least 800 gauss
minimum, any less is useless and even this strength is really only going to help with very mild pain. You really need to be looking in the region of about 2,000 to 3,000 gauss per magnet to be able to reduce higher amounts of pain.

2. The measurement needs to be a surface gauss rating not a core rating -
A lot of companies display a core gauss measurement instead of the surface gauss measurement as this is always a much higher number. The core gauss is the manufactured gauss this is not what the magnetic strength will be when the magnet is made and is on your body.

The surface gauss strength is the strength of the magnet at the point where it will come into contact with your body. This is important to know as you may have a magnet which measures 5,800 gauss and think it is very strong but it is most likley a core or manufacturer’s gauss measurement and the surface gauss strength may only be 1,000 gauss.

3. Trained and qualified therapists- do not accept advice from someone who just sells magnetic jewellery. Make sure they know what they are talking about or you may end up buying something that will not help you in any way.

4. The products you use need to be on or as close to the point of pain as possible-
Don’t believe people who say a magnetic bracelet will help your pain in every area of your body. This is not true. The magnets need to be in the close proximity to the pain so if you have neck pain, you need a magnetic necklace, for back pain a magnetic back belt, for knee pain, magnetic knee straps and so on.

If you follow this advice i’m sure you will end up with a good quality magnetic product and good quality advice, and you should receive some health benefit.

And remember, if you are purchasing your magnetic product over the internet, make sure you get it from a retailer that give you a long money back guarantee period as magnetic therapy can sometime take a few months to show any benefits. Plus be aware that there will be a few people that the therapy will just not be effective on. This is the same with many other medical pain treatment, including surgery!
Happy shopping!

The latest biomagnetic research published at the beginning of this month confirms that strong enough static medical magnets definitely increases circulation. This biomagnetic research was performed at the University of Virginia by leading figure Thomas Skalak, professor and chair of biomedical engineering.

Here are the findings as written by Melissa Maki

Biomedical Engineering Study Demonstrates the Healing Value of Magnets
News Source: Research News
Jan. 2, 2008 -

Magnets have been touted for their healing properties since ancient Greece. Magnetic therapy is still widely used today as an alternative method for treating a number of conditions, from arthritis to depression, but there hasn’t been scientific proof that magnets can heal.

Lack of regulation and widespread public acceptance have turned magnetic therapy into a $5 billion world market. Hopeful consumers buy bracelets, knee braces, shoe inserts, mattresses, and other products that are embedded with magnets based on anecdotal evidence, hoping for a non-invasive and drug-free cure to what ails them.

“The FDA regulates specific claims of medical efficacy, but in general static magnetic fields are viewed as safe,” notes Thomas Skalak, professor and chair of biomedical engineering at U.Va.
Skalak has been carefully studying magnets for a number of years in order to develop real scientific evidence about the effectiveness of magnetic therapy.

Skalak’s lab leads the field in the area of microcirculation research-the study of blood flow through the body’s tiniest blood vessels. With a five-year, $875,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Skalak and Cassandra Morris, former Ph.D. student in biomedical engineering, set out to investigate the effect of magnetic therapy on microcirculation. Initially, they sought to examine a major claim made by companies that sell magnets: that magnets increase blood flow.

Due to large variety of magnetic products available today, many people get confused as to what is the right magnetic strength they should be using to achieve pain relief. Does strength really matter or can one just use any magnet?

Here’s a question that kat got asked via email a couple of days ago:

Hi, my name is Peter and I was wondering Why can’t I use ordinary fridge or toy magnets to relieve my pain?

An interesting question indeed. Why should you spend over £50 on a magnetic device if a £2.50 fridge magnet can do the job.

Here’s what Kat had to say on the matter:

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your question. Normal household magnets are not the same as clinical therapeutic magnets.

An everyday magnet such as a fridge magnet is very weak compared to a medical magnet.

The average fridge magnets measures about 250 gauss whereas the minimum magnetic strength you need to help treat pain in the body is 800 gauss - and remember this is the bare minimum strength required, most people will actually require magnets that are between 2,000 and 3,000 gauss.

Household magnets are not designed for their magnetic field to penetrate the tissues of our body, so will not help to ease pain, inflammation or alleviate symptoms like clinical therapeutic magnets will.

Regards
Kat

So if you were planning to use a fridge magnet to get rid of your pain, by all means give it a go! But don’t expect to get any results. Unless you have a fridge magnet that is 3000 gauss…

On the other hand you can try one these magnetic therapy treatments for six months without risking a penny.

“Horrific Horse Riding Accident Left Me In Constant Excruciating Agony:
My Spine Was Snapped In Two Places…”

“After years of unbearable suffering I am finally pain free, I’ve got my life back again. Here’s my story…”

In July 1986, I was enjoying a relaxed trek when disaster struck, my
horse was startled by a bird and as he bolted he tripped. I shot over his head and
crashed to the ground and then he came thundering down on top of me.

No Help From G.P

I broke my back in 2 places. I was suffering intense pain and wasn’t able to bend down or
twist. I was permanently at the G.P’s office. Each time he told me it’s a healing process
and you have to be patient. Keep taking the painkillers and just get on with your life. I
really did try to get on with my life, I went back to work but was pretty useless.

I soldiered on with the pain, trying desperately to get my life back to normal, but there
were so many things that I still couldn’t do. My 3 year old, Dylan, was too heavy for me to
pick up, if he fell or banged himself I couldn’t pick him up to comfort him. My husband had
to bath 1 year old Emily because I couldn’t bend over the baby bath. Plus I would wake
up as many as 15 times every night, in agony.

Getting out of bed in the morning was a whole different kettle of fish. I eased myself
across the bed at a snails pace, then came the debacle of rolling over onto my stomach,
hanging my legs over the edge , kneeling on the floor and eventually working myself to the
end of the bed where I clung onto the bedstead for dear life as I hauled myself into and
upright position. After this 15 minute fiasco I would have to slowly stretch my spine gently
until I could feel my vertebrae unfreezing.

Over the next 9 years I tried osteopathy, acupuncture, massage, exercise and physiotherapy
to no avail. My GP exhausted all the available treatments, there was simply nothing left to try.

Christmas Ruined Because Of Pain

In Dec 1999 Just 2 days before Christmas I was lifting my daughter out of the bath and I
slipped a disc. I spent Christmas day lying on the sofa with a bag of frozen peas stuck down
my knickers. I ate my Christmas dinner alone on the sofa whilst everyone else enjoyed the
festivities at the table. Words can’t describe how thoroughly miserable I was.

Finally in January 2000 my prayers were answered. My mum received a letter about magnetic therapy for pain relief. It professed to reduce swelling, increase blood flow and reduce pain and best of all, it was completely natural. I couldn’t believe that these magnets would do what they claimed to.

But I was so desperate and had tried everything else so I thought that I had nothing to lose. I sent for Magnetic Back Pain Treatment Package, it came with a strap that fitted around my back, plus I drank magnetised water and lay on a special magnetic pad in the bed. I had no expectations of the magnets and was wholly prepared for them to fail.

At Last All My Pain Gone In Just 3 Weeks!

After a couple of weeks there was no change and I was at the point of giving up. In the middle
of the third week I woke up and got out of bed and then stopped still in my tracks to my
complete an utter surprise I had actually sat up and got straight out of bed, no edging to
the side, etc, none of it. I simply stood up!

Magnetic therapy bracelets come in different shape, sizes and strength.
Many people get confused about whether the overall strength of a magnetic bracelet
is total number of healing magnets multiply by how strong each magnet is.

For example, if a magnetic bracelet contains 10 X 3000 gauss magnets, does that mean
the total magnetic strength of that bracelet is 30,000 gauss?

The answer is YES and NO!

The more important question here is does it matter?

Here’s how Kat, a magnetic therapist with years of experience addresses this confusion,
when she was asked the following question by Ram, who just could not decide which
magnetic bracelet will be best to treat his condition.

——————————————————
Dear magnetic therapist,
If I have a magnetic bracelet with 2,000 gauss in every link and it has 10 links;
Is that considered 20,000 gauss or 2,000 gauss for the whole bracelet.
Thank you
Ram
——————————————————-

And the answer was

Hi Ram,

When you have a magnetic strength of 2,000 gauss per magnet in a bracelet,
and 10 magnets in the entire magnetic bracelet this means that you have a
penetrating strength of 2,000 gauss but at 10 different points.

So the amount of magnetic field that penetrates the skin at 2,000 gauss
will be the same but it will be all round the wrist at each point of the
magnet.

If you had a bracelet with only 2 magnets in and each one measured 2,000
gauss you would have the same penetrating depth as the bracelet with 10
magnets in, but you would only have it at 2 points on the skin instead of
10.

By having a magnetic bracelet with 10 magnets in you don’t make it 10
times as strong, there would simply be more magnets in contact with the
body.

Regards
Kat
———————————————————-

Basically, the more magnets you have in a magnetic product, a wider magnetic
field will be created. And the stronger the individual magnets are, the deeper the magnetic
field will penetrate the body.

So, there you have it. When deciding to choose a magnetic bracelet or any other magnetic
product for that matter, go for the one with highest number of individual magnets and also
the highest strength per magnet.

And here are some magnetic bracelets that just fit the bill…

If you are considering buying a magnetic mattress cover or magnetic pad,
you have to make sure that it will fit properly on your bed. One question
that we regularly get about magnetic mattress covers is whether they
can be used in conjunction with an electric blanket.

Here’s a question that we got recently about this issue:
Dear magnetic therapist,
We have recently started reusing the magnetic mattress cover I purchased from you
several years ago and have found it a great benefit. My lower back, and
right leg, which used to go into spasm have now sorted themselves out,
thanks to the magnet therapy and we are both delighted.

There is one problem, though. Our bedroom is north-facing and very cold -
and during the winter we find we really need an electric blanket. We have
surrounded ourselves with hot-water bottles but these cool in the night
and have to be refilled from the tap. The Weather buffs forecast a chilly
winter and I am not certain how we will manage.

Am I right in assuming that one cannot use an electric blanket with the
magnetic mattress cover? I really hope I am wrong as I have a difficult
choice to make at the moment.

Any advice you can give me will be much appreciated.
Sally Ward-Enticott.

And here is what Kat recommended sally does,

Dear Sally

You can in most circumstances use a magnetic mattress cover with an
electric blanket.

Generally, you can use an electric blanket which is placed underneath
the magnetic mattress cover for a couple of hours to warm the
bed and as long as you turn it off before going to sleep you will be fine.

You can also use electric blankets that are designed to be on all night and
only have a low setting.

The reason we recommend the turning off of electric blankets is so as not
to cause the magnets to become too hot. They are obvously metal which will
conduct heat and we don’t want anyone to be burnt and also long term,
continuous exposure to high temperature may degrade the magnets in the long run.

BUT in blankets that are specifically designed to stay on all night they
never get hot enough to cause any problems so is fine to use.

Regards
Kat

The bottom line is you can use a magnetic mattress cover with your electric blanket
but do be aware that the magnets will get warm, possibly even hot, if you leave the
electric blanket on a high heat setting for a long period of time. On the other hand, you
can leave your electric blanket on all night on a low heat setting and enjoy a good night sleep
without any adverse effect to your mattress cover or your health!
