Hi there,
Obviously I have been looking at your Magnet Therapy as I am at my wits end on what else I can do to try and have a painfree life.

I have lived with chronic pain for 12 years although no known reason!! I have been told I have Fibromyalgia but my pain came completely out of the blue one day like a bolt of lightening for no reason, It was not pain that gradually started!! It Is spreading and Is now getting worse especially over the past year. I have been to every known therapist chiropracator, Acupuncture, both western and Chinese, Oesteopath, e.t.c. to no avail.

Each day I take 240mgs Dihyrocodeine, 400mgs Paracetemol, I was also taking Gabapentin for nerve pain which did give some help along with the previous mentioned medication for 2 or 3 years but It gave me other pain and eventually I think my body just got used to It and I stopped working. I was then put on to Pregabalin for nerve pain and again seemed to help for a while but again same thing happened as with the Gabapentin so not taking that either.

I am seeing a Physiotherapist at the Hospital who cannot believe just how sore and like rocks and stones that my muscles are, and he is doing his best. He says that this Is all coming from my neck- my neck Is very painfull and pain radiates up through my teeth, jaw face head, also my shoulder and arm. I also now have restricted movement in my arm due to my shoulder from pain, Dotors say Rotary Cuff Injury, Physio says not and that It Is coming from my neck.

Who do I believe!! Pain has also started occuring on my left side which a year ago was not affected again my neck and shoulder. pain radiating to teeth has just made me go and have 2 back teeth removed even though they were not bad to see if this was one of the problems-no difference-only 2 less teeth which I find quite distressing. I have also had Cortisone injections in my head, neck, shoulders, to no avail, paid pounds to see Specialists-one who almost insinuated that I was Imagining the pain-that was so upsetting as well as Insulting.

The problem being Is because they cannot see It they do not understand. I have so many very painful trigger points which Is why I was diagnosed by one Dotor with Fibromyalgia therefore I suppose this may be the cause of the problem but seems strange that this pain first started with a sudden Chronic pain to the head (and that was It) I thought It would just go away on Its own as you do, but had never felt anything so severe In my life-unfortunately It then manifested itself and I have never been painfree since.

There are a lot of times that I feel I cannot go on anymore, but I have to try, and not to give up hope that one day I may be painfree again and to live a life again. I have had quite a few Operations through life, but prior to this happening to me I was never one to suffer even a headache or take pills, exept for a life threatening condition that I have which Is under control with life long medication. I am sceptical as I have tried Tens machine, and other things and they have not worked, but as you are aware that when you are In so much Chronic pain you will try anything. My Husband does not believe In Magnetic therapy and I am worried that It may not work, but If It did help me I would be so elated.

I would be most gratefull If you could help me please, please. Kind regards, Best wishes, Jane.

How to decide what strength magnetic bracelet you will require for your wrist pain? Well one safe option is to buy the magnetic bracelets or any other magnetic products with the highest strength medical magnets in them. Mainly because if you suffer with chronic pain, over time the pain will only get worse as your medical condition progresses. But you don’t have to. Here’s what one of our therapist suggests you do.

anne: I have been experiencing pain in my wrists for some time - would a magnetic bracelet help?

kat : yes a magnetic bracelet will help, you just need to use a bracelet with the correct strength magnets for your condition.

anne : how will i know the correct strenght?

kat : how long have you had your pain?

anne : for about 4 years on and off. It tends to come on for about 5 days then goes away for a while

kat : On a scale of 0 - 10, where 0 is no pain and 10 is extreme pain where would you rate your pain when it is bad

anne : 4 my wrists feel bruised and weak at times

kat : do you have to take pain killers?

anne : no I normally just wear a bandage and try to rest

kat : Well I would say that you need to use magnets that meausre at least 2,000 gauss. The longer you have had your problem the higher strength of magnets you will need.

kat : The higher the strength the more pain they can take away and the quicker they will work. If you were to use a high strength magnetic bracelet with 3,000 gauss magnets in then you will get he best results. Drinking magnetised water will also help.

anne : thank you. Can I also ask - I have heard they are good for migraine as well is this true?

kat : Yes magnets can help to treat migraines. They are much more effective when you use them around the head area so we would usually suggest a magnetic pillow insert, the water wand and a necklace rather than a bracelet.

anne : thank you so much.

Don’t want to take drugs? Massage and hot/cold packs are 2 very effective and cheap alternative pain treatments. Here’s the advice that kat gave wendy to relieve neck and shoulder pain.

wendyroper: I have shoulder and elbow pain. I use the magnetic wand and wear a lower back belt which I bought from you. The magnetic back belt is working but now I have started with this neck and shoulder problem. I have had an x-ray and my doctor advised me that there was nothing they could do and prescribed Baclofen and Meloxicam. But I do not want to take these as I am on blood pressure tablets and do not want to take the risk after reading your article on these drugs.

kat: Have you ever had any injury to this area?

wendyroper: no but when gardening a couple of years ago the elbow pain started and I had an injection into it.

kat: The elbow pain could be completly un-related or due to the muscles in the neck and shoulder tightening and putting pressure on nerves that go into the arm.

kat: Baclofen is given to prevent muscle spasm; so your doctor obviously thinks you have muscle spasm in your neck and shoulder area. Regular massage followed by ice packs will help to reduce the spasm without having to take the Baclofen.

wendyroper: Thank you for the advice. Can I just ask why he told me not to use any cream or massage or go to phyio or osteopath.

kat: You can use one of our hand held massage tools to apply regular massage to the neck and shoulder area for 10 minutes at a time 2-3 times a day but always follow with an ice pack for 10 minutes to reduce the inflammation. We do a gel pack but you can just use a bag of frozen veg.

kat: Do you have any other medical conditions?

wendyroper: no

kat: I’m not sure why he said that, unless there was a medical reason for it.

kat: Did he mention anything about it to you?

wendyroper: Thank you do you think wearing one of your necklaces would help

kat: Yes, definitely. The high strength magnetic necklaces are going to be the only ones strong enough. Are you drinking magnetised water?

wendyroper: yes I bought the magnetic water wand from you.

kat: How much are you drinking?

wendyroper: 3 pints a day.

kat: That’s good. A magnetic necklace will definitely help you, carry on drinking the water and start with some gentle massage but take it steady and if you have any problems get back to us.

wendyroper: thank you

Magnetic therapy cannot CURE Cancer - do not waste your money buying magnetic products claiming to cure cancer from unethical people….

Here’s the advice that kat gave to one such innocent victim.
george : have a therapist in town who claims magnetic therapy can cure hiv aids. Is that true?
kat : from in depth study and research into how magnetic therapy works on the human body I am sure that it is not a cure for anything but a form of sympton management
george : That would mean that it won’t make it go away but will work on the virus somenhow. How does the magnetism affect the virus? or probably just educate me on how the magnetic therapy works on the body?
kat : Healing magnets can help to relieve pain, inflammation and stiffness. It can help to heal if used over long periods of time and will help to maintain a healthy circulation.
george : alright what is the scientific representation of how they work on the body. coz i hear of magnetic fluids etc? (more…)

amal mishlawi : I have MS how will magnetic therapy help me and what do I need?
kat : Magnetic therapy can help with treating the symptoms of MS. Usually it requires high strength healing magnets and for effective treament large amounts of magnets.
Looking at it long term, you will need to use a magnetic mattress cover, but this is not the best thing to start with. You need to pick one area that troubles you the most and treat that area first
amal mishlawi : I have no pain but find it hard to move.
kat : what parts of your body specifically are hard to move, do you mean that you are stiff or something else?
amal mishlawi : yes and my legs and hands are not strong.
kat : Loss of strength and grip in the hands is quite a common symptom of MS and a lot of MS sufferers will have problems with their lower legs too. They may feel cold all the time or be stiff to move or feel weak as if they won’t support your body. (more…)

How magnetic therapy got rid of the pain from osteoarthritis and spondylosis for this 70 year old lady

Hi,

My name is Eve Hayler and I’m 70 this September (2006) and I have back trouble, caused by Osteoarthritis since, 1979. I have found that all the remedies and pills have not been of much help but since I have had the magnets, I have been walking and working about a good 80% better than I ever was.

What type of pain is it?

It wasn’t 24 hours a day but near enough. If I moved anything or lifted anything, bending or walking it was bad. The pain stopped me walking, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and stopped me riding my bike to work, which I loved doing. Once I had got in it was a good half an hour before I could get motivated to do anything else.

What other things have you tried?

I have tried acupuncture and physiotherapy, and I have been to an osteopath. The only time I benefited from the osteopath was when it was severe and I couldn’t move. He told me then that I should sit with a hot water bottle on my back and then follow with an ice pack. (more…)

Dee: Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Janet: I’m 64 and I have had arthritis for 20 years which has gradually got worse. Everything came to a head last September and a friend of my mum’s said that she had tried some magnets. I was really willing to try anything at this point and take any advice. So I came along and bought a magnetic mattress cover, a neck wrap and some wrist bands. After about 3 weeks I couldn’t believe the results I was getting.

Dee: Before trying magnetic therapy had you tried anything else to relieve your pain? (more…)
