Hi,

I have a dog with moderate arthritis that has two microchips (for the different frequency readers) implanted between her shoulder blades. Can she use magnetic therapy such as collars? Thanks!

Hi Sandi

Animals that are micro chipped can benefit from magnetic therapy. I have heard that in some cases the magnets can block the frequency and stop the chips being read, but they leave no lasting damage so the colar could simply be removed for reading the microchips.

You could also try moving the magnets around to the front of the neck under the chin instead of the back of the neck near the shoulder blades.

Hope this helps.
