Please , can you post for some random trial researches about the use of magnets? I  will be happy also with clinical r trial research...
I am a student and I would like to do my dissertation about the clinical use of magnets. I found a lot of literature  about, but not relevant researches.  And what  researches I found they concluded as not efficient . If not relevant research , there is not proof about the efficiency of magnets.  Would you want to help me please?

Hi, My name is Mike and i practice as a Magneto Therapist here in South Africa. You will regretably find very little by way of clinical studies done on static magnetic therapy as a double blind study is almost impossible to do. If you give half of the group a magnetic device and the other half a placebo, those with the placebo will certainly notice that metallic objects do not stick and that is more than enough to invalidate any study. However there have been quite a few studies done on Electro Magnetic Impulse Therapy with some very exiting results. In the field of non healing fractures you will find quite a lot of information and i believe that one university in America is doing a study on the effects of magnetism on MS. With Impulse Therapy the test group would b totally unaware of wether they were subjected to a magnetic field or not so the results a more reliable.

Hi folks,

Is the magnetic therapy effective for pain relief?
I found article on Magnet Therapy: A Skeptical View.
http;//www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/QA/magnet.html

Can you explain the discrepancies?
Thanks!

Hi,
that article is ancient and there has been many trial since to prove that magnets, when used correctly relieve pain.
That article trashes an old clinical research that revolves around using static magnets for short period of times.
That just won't work.
Static magnets have tobe applied at the point of pain for days if not weeks to achieve pain relief.
Which is mainly obtained through reduction of inflammation when a sufficiently strong magnetic field is
applied to the body.

There are many clinical trials that proves that magnets do relieve pain. (check out the previous entries in this post.)

The main reason why magnets fail to relieve pain is because they are not used properly i.e not strong enough magnets are
being used or not for a long enough period.
we have conducted our own consumer trial. results are here
