Q: Would the
magnetic bracelet cause some one with epilepsy to have a fit?
I bought one for my mate last Friday and within an hour of
putting it on she had a fit which she as not had for some
years now?

A: Hello Siaron,
Thank you for your email.
There is no known cases of magnets inducing epileptic fits, on the contrary
there have been studies into magnets and epilepsy , magnets were placed on the
head and they were found to reduce epileptic fits in those with quite severe
epilepsy. The magnetic field helps to regulate the electromagnetic impulse
within the brain that can lead to epileptic fits. it is highly unlikely that the
bracelet has caused the fit. If further fits occur your friend should consult
her doctor.
